NEW CUSTOMER REWARDS CARDS!!

My Customers and Stampers are AWESOME!!

I love seeing them enjoy classes, create and enjoy their Stampin' Up! products.  We really have a good time at classes and events.  They are the best part of my job and I wouldn't have the business I do without them!

As a way of showing them my appreciation, I have new CUSTOMER REWARD CARDS that will be effective January 1, 2013.  There is a card for purchases as well as one for attending classes and events.  I am so excited to share these with my customers!  I am sending these in their Christmas cards this year.  If you place an order with me or attend an event, I will be more than happy to get you one as well as I do really appreciate you supporting my business!!

December Scrap Club Pages

Welcome Back!

Today I want to share the pages I created for my monthly scrapbook club.  We usually create a single page layout as well as a double page layout each month.

This month we did our holiday pages and they have lots of sparkle and shine on them!

This page uses glimmer paper, rhinestones, and  a cute metal frame from the holiday mini catalogue.
I stamped 2011 on mine because I still need to scrap last year's Christmas pictures!  I never seem to keep up on my scrapbooking and I am sure some of you scrappers feel the same way!

This double page was a simple way to incorporate lots of photos because if you are like me, you take tons over the holiday season.  My scrap ladies all die cut their own titles to customize their page and they turned out really well!

My favorite part of this page is the stamped snowflakes in the background.  I used Stampin' Up!'s new Illuminate Watermark Ink Pad.  It is GORGEOUS!!! It adds a watermark look with shimmer!  It is a really subtle but beautiful effect.  Here is a closer picture of part of my page that has this ink:

LOVE IT!!

I hope you are enjoying this Christmas season and are all ready for celebrating!  Stop in again soon!

Still need Card Ideas?

If you are like me, Christmas has crept up quickly and I am still making Christmas cards to get out to my family, friends and customers!  Here are a few of the ones I created for a class last month.  I used the Holiday Ornaments Framelits (#127816) and matching stamps (#128051).  I also decided to try the Candelight Christmas Designer paper (#126901).  These items are all available in the Holiday Catalogue until January 2.

Here are some close up shots of the treat container (made with the flocked window sheet in the designer paper pack-so lovely and velvety!!)

...and the cards...

Now, on to more cards...

I created these with the Snow Festival Tags (#128152) from the Holiday catalogue.  They come with 25 in a package and are all double sided for double the fun (sounds like the old Doublemint gum jingle :)

These are quick and easy cards and I will be making lots more before the Christmas Season ends!

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope I inspired you to create a Christmas card today!

Christmas Home Decor

I am back with more fun Christmas decor items I have created.

I got these 3x3 blocks on my website on the Clearance Rack.  I added some fun Designer Paper from the Festival of Prints stack (#126904)with Tombow multipurpose glue (#110755) to adhere the paper.  I die cut some snowflakes and added them onto my die cut label (Window Frames Collection Framelits dies #129021 ).  I stamped them with the Snowflake Soiree stamps in Bashful Blue and then heat embosses the labels with iridescent ice embossing powder to add a bit of sparkle.  The last touches were designer buttons (#127555), rhinestones (#119246) and some Early Espresso Baker's twine.

I love that you can stack these blocks as well for a different look and you see the other patterns of designer paper on other sides.

Here is a more traditional color combination from the same paper stack:

I hope you enjoy these!  My kids and I will be creating more sets of these to give to their teachers for Christmas gifts this year.

Advent Calendar

I love creating home decor items for the holidays and last year I created a fun, reusable muffin tin advent calendar.   My kids helped me hang it again this December and are excited every morning to see what is hiding under today's number!

This is our advent calendar that I made in 2011.

I had some customers request these this year so we recreated another version of mine this year using Early Espresso, Pool Party Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, and Gumball Green.  We punched magnet sheets and carstock to make the covers for the mini muffin tins.  Then we embellished each day with punches, stamps, die cuts, ribbon and rhinestones.  Each scallop circle covers a hole for days 1-24 in December.  Now it just needs the ribbon hanger and it is ready to go!

I have fun hiding candy, mini erasers, Silly Bandz, coins, notes, "tickets" for activities and other little toys under each day.  I really love that it is reusable too!  My kids definitely enjoy this advent calendar tradition!

Quick Tip:  If you are creating one, make sure your muffin tin is magnetic before you purchase it!

Adorable Glittery Ornaments

Welcome back!

Well, the Christmas Season is in full swing and I have been busy creating cards, gifts, gift boxes, treats, home decor, and other fun decorations.

Today I thought I would share share some of the cute, glittery ornaments I created for a class and then made with my kids.  I CASED these from my sister-in-law, Alanna Wharf (www.sleeplessstamper.com).

     1.   To create these ornaments, pour in some floor wax with minwax or Future Shine (I used   Pledge) into a glass ornament.

2.  Slowly turn the ornament so the entire surface inside gets coated with the wax.  Pour out the excess.

3.  Using a funnel, add in some extra fine glitter and swirl it around to coat the inside.  Again, pour out the excess.

4.  Pop the top on and decorate!  It is that easy and you get a huge impact for little effort (my kind of crafting!)

Here are the characters we created:

All of our punched pieces were attached with Glue dots.  We added Stampin' Up! ribbon to hang them on our tree.  They are super cute and easy enough that my 3& 5 year olds were each able to create one with minimal help.

Hope you like them!  Check back soon for some more fun ideas!

A My Digital Studio (MDS) Page to Share!

Welcome Back!

Today I would like to share a page I created for my family calendar.  I created it using Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio Program.  If you haven't heard of it, you need to!  It is an amazind digital designing program.  It is super fun and easy to create photo books, cards, swatch books, calendars, tags, invitations and soooo much more!

This is an 8 1/2x11 size calendar page that I designed.   It uses some of my favorite content including digital tape and the downtown grunge embellishments.  I hope you like it!

If you are interested in learning more about MDS, please watch out for a beginner MDS Monday class beginning in January.

Happy creating!

Snowflake Soiree One Sheet Wonder

My Snowflake Soiree Stationary Set

This is the card box inside.  It holds 6 embellished cards and envelopes.

Welcome back!  Today I want to share with you a  stationary set that features a one sheet wonder technique.  I used my favorite stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalogue called "Snowflake Soiree" (item # 127925).
I stamped an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of Whisper White cardstock with the various sizes of snowflakes.  I spritzed it with homemade shimmer spray to give it a frosty sheen.  I then went ahead and cut up my sheet and created 6 cards, a matching box and stamped envelopes to coordinate with the set.  To embellish the cards, I used Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon, basic rhinestones, and the Snowflurries die to create the die cut snowflakes.

This was a really fun project to put together and I was pleased with the final result!  Hope you like it!

I am off to create some fun holiday home decor items and will try to post them when they are done.

Happy Crafting!

Welcome to My Blog!

Hello Everyone!  Welcome to my little piece of the web!  I am so excited to start this blog and share all kinds of papercrafting ideas with all of you!

I love papercrafting and have been a scrapbooker for almost 15 years.  I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator 2 years ago and am loving it! I continue to scrapbook and now also enjoy creating cards, gifts, home decor, 3D projects and altered art.   I will be sharing samples of many of my creations as well as projects for upcoming classes that I teach.  I also hope to eventually learn to post tutorials as well (once I figure out this whole blogging thing!)

I look for inspiration for my projects from all kinds of places-song lyrics become scrapbook titles, colors in my kid's clothes become ink choices, and I love being inspired by other crafters.  That is my goal with my blog-to inspire you to have fun creating and enjoy expressing your creativity.  Hopefully I can give you some inspiration, whether it be a layout, a fun new product, a new technique, a color combination or even an idea to CASE!!  I just ask that you don't use my original designs in contests as your creation, other than that, feel free to use them!

I am really looking forward to sharing with you and I hope you will stop in again soon and check out my creations!
