Chalkboard Valentine

Hello!

Do you follow the trends in paper crafting?  One of the hot trends right now is the Chalkboard technique.  If uses white craft ink and embossing powder on black cardstock to create this look.  It is a lot of fun to do!

Here is a Valentine card I created which could be switched up for lots of occasions simply by changing the greeting.  Hope you like it!

Love-ly Balloon

Hello again everyone!

This card is another creation I made for my Lots of Love stamp-a-stack.  It features a cute 3D hot air balloon made from the Full Heart punch.  When I was teaching elementary school, we would make all kinds of these heart to hang in our classroom and they were my inspiration for this card.

To create the balloon, punch 3 or 4 hearts (depending on the look you want) and fold them all in half.  Then adhere half of the heart to half of the next heart, lining up the fold lines.  Continue until you have them all adhered together.  Then you can stick the back of it to your card.  The sky was done using the new Cloudy Day Embossing folder and it is absolutely ADORABLE!!  The stamps set is Up, Up & Away from the main catalogue.  The basket was punched with the versatile Cupcake Builder punch.

Love 24-7

Hello again!

I have had some time to do some stamping and creating for my upcoming classes while we are in a deep freeze here on the prairies. I am just loving the new products in the spring catalogue and will be sharing lots of creations over the next while with you that feature these products. This is a card I made for a Stamp-a-stack I am having next week. It features the fun new Build-a-brads. They are AWESOME! You can punch whatever paper you want and adhere it to your brad (with Tombow or snail) and then add the little epoxy bubble and VOILA! You have a coordinating brad for any project you are creating! The punch I used for the brad was the small circle from the Itty Bitty Punch set and then the heart came from the Owl builder punch. This card also features the Postage Stamp Punch and the Pretty Postage Stamp set. The colors are Baja Breeze, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White and Summer Starfruit. Enjoy!!

More Amore Scrapbook Page

Love is in the air!  I am having fun playing with the new designer paper from the spring catalogue!  I love the colors in the the new designer specialty paper called "More Amore".  The subtle pink and pool party blue with the pop of real red are a more pleasing combination to scrap those valentines pics as well give you options for lots of other uses such as layouts for baby and friendship.

My scrapbook club will be creating this page this weekend.
This layout was inspired/CASED by one I found on Pinterest. I had fun using the new Hearts a Flutter framelits to cut out some hearts and use that negative space on my layout. I also used the punched hearts as embellishments.

Do you see this cute metal embellishment?  It is a new Build a brad from the spring mini (#129329).  These are so adorable and you can totally customize them to match your project.  You just need to punch a circle with the Itty Bitty Circle punch, adhere it to the brad, then cover it with the clear epoxy bubble!  So easy!  LOVE THESE!!

I did some tearing and sanding with the pool party core'dinations cardstock (which is soooo much fun to play with!). I added some torn paper, homemade spritz for some sparkle, pool party twine, and some pearls.

These stamps are from the Bitty Banners set and the You're a Gem set.  Both are in the main catalogue.

Thanks for stopping in!  Stop by again soon for some more fun ideas using this Designer Paper!

Winter BLUES!!

Hello everyone!

I am feeling a little "blue" today.  A year ago today we were on our way to sunny Hawaii (for our first Hot Holiday ever) and today we are dealing with a blizzard, shoveling snow, plummeting temperatures and frigid wind chills.  On the plus side, it gives me a good excuse to stay inside and CRAFT!

Today I want to share the cards we will be creating in the Winter BLUES class I am holding next week.  I featured many of the wonderful shades of blue that Stampin' Up! offers and a few fun new products from the new spring catalogue.

This butterfly card was one of my swaps that I created for last summer's Stampin' Up! convention.  It uses the Everything Eleanor stamp set as well as a beautiful butterfly from the Papillion Potpourri set.  I have added some tone-on-tone embossing that looks better in person.  The second card is a CASE of one created by Mary Fish.  I used the new Pool Party embossing powder from the Spring catalogue, Pool Party ribbon that you can earn for FREE during Sale-a-bration, as well as the Pleasant Poppies background stamp and greeting is from the Sassy Salutations set.

The card on the left uses the You're Amazing stamp set, International Bazaar Designer Paper and Island Indigo Ribbon from Sale-a-bration.  The card on the right features many shades of blue and the My Friend stamp set from the Main Catalogue.
My last card is bright and cheery and features the super fun On the Move Stamp set from the Main Catalogue.  This set helps raise funds ($3 per set) for Ronald McDonald House Charities.  I just love this bike-isn't it adorable?  The daffodil delight and pacific point are so fun and make me feel a little more "springy".

Some Sunshine!!!

I am loving our weather here in snowy Saskatchewan this week! Usually we are in a deep freeze right about now but we are enjoying some mild temperatures and SUNSHINE!! I have had my kids out cross country skiing and sledding this week and we are definitely taking advantage of the weather before school resumes on Monday.

Here is a scrapbook layout we made in club this fall (that I will be add pics of my son to). It uses whisper white, basic grey and daffodil delight. This is such a trendy color combination right now and I though it would look great with some black and white photos.

I love these little rosettes-the add such impact!
This label is from the Apothecary Accents framelits from the main catalogue.  The fabulous matching piercing mat pack allows you to create this neat design that coordinates with your shape!  So fun!  Better yet-this mat pack will be one of the free items in this year's Sale-a-bration coming up this month.  Watch here for more details!
